Casino FAQ

Wagering / Rollover Requirement

When you receive a bonus from a casino you will often be required to wager a set amount before that bonus can be withdrawn. This amount will be stated in the bonus terms and conditions and will vary dramatically depending on the casino. The wagering requirement is the accumulated amount in bets that you must make i.e. how much you must bet in total. Regardless if your bet wins or loses it is only the bet stake that count towards wagering

For example – A casino offers a 100% matched bonus up to £100 with a set 10 x bonus wagering requirement. If you deposit £100 to receive the £100 bonus, your balance will be £200. Before this can be withdrawn you must wager 10 x the bonus amount (£100 bonus x 10 = £1000) , this means you will need to make £1000 worth of bets

If you staked £10 on a hand of blackjack, and repeated the bet again, regardless if your bets won or lost you would have wagered £20 in total, this means you would still need to wager another £980 to complete the £1000 wagering requirement.

Cashable Bonuses

The most common form of casino bonus is the cashable bonus; this means you are allowed to withdraw the bonus once the set wagering requirement has been completed. For instance, if a casino offered a 100% matched deposit bonus up to £100 with a 20 x bonus wagering requirement, and you deposited £100 for the £100 bonus, you would be required to wager £2000 in total (20 x £100 bonus) before the bonus could be withdrawn.

Post Wager

Some casinos will require you to wager a certain amount using just your own funds before the bonus is credited to your balance. This is often a set amount for example £500 and it tends not to be determined by your first deposit. The casino will record how much you wager and you can normally make multiple deposits in order to reach the amount. These bonuses are nearly always cashable and can be withdrawn once the wagering requirement has been met.

Sticky Bonuses

These are bonuses that can be bet, but can never be withdrawn. You are basically given free money to play with. When the wagering requirement has been met and you withdraw your funds the bonus amount is removed from your balance. Any winnings above the bonus amount are yours to keep. For instance, if you deposited £100 for a £100 sticky bonus and your final balance after completing wagering was £300 once withdrawn you would be left with £200 (£300 balance - £100 bonus = £200).
