Once you have read our matched betting tutorial and familiarised yourself with the basics of matched betting, we recommend that you follow the live working example below, it shows a current matched bet. In this example we have used the £10 free bet at Coral, the free bet is stake returned and it’s instantly credited upon placing your first £10 bet, making it an ideal place to start matched betting.

To assist you, you will find live screenshots of the betting screens for both Betfair and Coral, showing both the selection to bet on and what odds to bet at. The screen shots show the current bookmakers odds and are updated every 5 minutes dynamically, replicating what you will see on the actual betting screens. You will make around £10 profit from this bet, not enough to quit your day job but nevertheless not bad for 20 minutes work. Please note with this particular offer both the qualifying and follow up bet can be placed at the same time, meaning any returns along with your profit can be withdrawn as soon as the event is settled. Remember although the return may seem small (it's guaranteed), this is just a starting point and the returns from other matched bets will be significantly higher.

Stage 1 - Sign up to the bookmakers below

To avoid any complications, please check that all the correct funds are in place before you proceed to the next stage and place any bets.

Stage 2 - Place a bet at Coral to qualify for £10 free bet

This involves placing a £10 back bet in Coral, using the £10 you deposited. Once this £10 bet is placed, your account will be instantly credited with a £10 free bet

The Match - Kasimpasa v Bursaspor

In Coral navigate to the "Turkish Turkish Super League Football " using the football menu at the top of the screen and find the "Kasimpasa v Bursaspor " match. You will then see the betting screen below. Click the tick box corresponding to Bursaspor  showing odds of 2.2  and then click "Add to slip". 

In your betting slip, stake £10 as highlighted in the red circle below backing Bursaspor to win, then click the Place Bet button to confirm the bet.


Once the bet has been placed go back to the homepage in Coral, you will notice that your account balance is still £10, that’s because Coral have instantly credited your account with a £10 free bet.

As free bet stake is returned along with your winnings in coral, the £10 free bet can be placed at any odds, so proceed to place exactly the same bet again in Coral, but this time use the £10 free bet as your stake.  Once this is done, you should have now bet a total of £20 on "Bursaspor  to win" in Coral, £10 of your own money and the £10 free bet. Now all you need to do is lay the bet of in Betfair to lock in a guaranteed profit from the £10 free bet as described below.

Stage 3 - Lay the bet in Betfair to lock in a risk free profit from the free bet

To cover all the event outcomes and make the bet risk free, you will need to lay the same selection in Betfair that you backed in Coral i.e. “Bursaspor “ To find the correct market in Betfair, go to the sports page and on the left hand menu, navigate to: Soccer>Turkish Soccer>Turkish Super League>Fixtures 10 March >Kasimpasa v Bursaspor .

Now lay Bursaspor  NOT to win. To do this click the PINK box corresponding to Bursaspor ,showing odds of 2.16  as highlighted in the red circle below



You will then notice the betting slip appear on the right hand side. Stake £20.85  as highlighted in the red circle below laying Bursaspor  NOT to win, the liability will be £24.19  and will appear on the right hand side. Click submit and make sure you confirm your bet. Remember when you lay a bet the stake is the amount you want to win and the liability is the amount you stand to lose, you are offering odds to a backer.



That's it, sit back and wait for your profit

That’s it; all the possible event outcomes are now been covered, whatever happens in the event you will make £9.81  profit from Corals £10 free bet.

  • If Bursaspor  win you will make £34  profit in Coral (£24  profit from the bet plus the returned £10 free bet stake) covering the £24.19  liability lost in betfair, leaving you with £9.81  profit.
  • If Kasimpasa win or it's a draw , you will make £19.81  profit in betfair (your £20.85  lay stake minus 5% commission) and lose the £10 deposited in Coral, leaving you with £9.81  profit.

Please withdraw all funds once the bet has been settled, no follow up bet is required!
