In order to make the bet risk free, bias the matched bet so that you only incurr an "acceptable loss" if your bet wins (and therefore you get the free bet) and break even if the bet does not win.
Risk Free Method (read carefully)
- Using the AutoMatcher or just by looking at the odds on Coral, find a horse with low odds and a close match in Betfair.
- Click on the pink box corresponding to the lay odds for your chosen horse and enter a lay stake of £26.32. (This is the lay stake required to win £25 profit after 5% commission). This is so that if the bet does not win, you do not lose any money.
- Next check that the loss is "acceptable". Compare the winnings from your £25 bet in Coral on your selected horse with the liability showing in Betfair. Remember: this is the amount that you will lose ONLY if the selected horse wins - but you will also receive a £25 free bet!
Outcomes
- If your selected horse wins the race: you will lose the "acceptable loss" but get a £25 free bet which you can use to make a guaranteed £18+ profit.
- If your selected horse doesn't win: you will make £25 in Betfair (after comission) and lose £25 in Coral so that you break even.
